Wheel Job Diving was established in 1979. Since then we have completed over 7,000 Wheel Jobs. I personally have been diving since 1985. After a 4 year tour in the Marine Corps I began my diving career in Seatle Washington where I attended and completed a commercial diving course at Divers Institute of Technology and immediately went to work at Oceaneering Inc. in Bayou Vista, La. During the 8 years I was employed by Oceaneering, I specialized in underwater burning, welding and inspection. By the time I left Oceaneering in 1999, I was a Class I Diver/Welder and supervising offshore diving operations.
Wheel Job Diving specializes in Wheel Jobs but from time to time we perform other services as needed. Some of those services include but are not limited to search and recovery, shaft wraps, patching holes and removal and replacement of transducers. The advantage of using Wheel Job Diving in these cases are that our hourly rate and service-response time is still far below those of larger diving companies.

Wheel Job Diving has all the equipment needed for Surface supplied air and radio communications dives, but if needed we have the following gear available:

  • Air grinder / Chisel
  • Bolt cutters
  • 4, 8 & 10 ton Lift Bags
  • Underwater Chainsaw (one of the few in Louisiana to have this tool)
  • A unique hot-water wetsuit system for unlimited cold-water diving .
We are licensed and insured with $2,000,000 general aggregate liablilty.
